2. The Ripple - 'The Ripple' was responsible for delivering timber for the first house built in Inverloch...Built in 1872 near Gosford, NSW, it serviced the Inverloch area for about 40 years transporting freight and passengers to and from Little Dock at Williamstown, Melbourne...
The service was monthly...
3. Coal - pre rail transport, black coal from the Wonthaggi mines was loaded from carts onto ships at Inverloch pier...
4. Shack Bay and Eagles Nest - Eagles Nest is a sandstone sea stack that sits on a wide rock platform and is awash at high tide. The formation can be viewed from Shack Bay...

Grantville is a quiet little coastal town 15 minutes from Phillip Island...
It used to be a town mainly focused on shipping timber from Gippsland to Melbourne...
Less than 1,000 people lived here in the 2006 census...
